Happy holidays and happy new year to all helms and hooligans! See you helms in Durango on 2-20-10!

The 2009-2010 FLC Athletic Hall of Fame class has been officially chosen. Congratulations to the 1999 men's soccer team, Kate (Kelly) Stahlin, Martin Dirks, Bill Cooke (football player in the '70s, coach in the '80s) and Chrystal (Pesicka) Schmitten (softball player in the late '90s) on being chosen for induction.
The ceremony will take place in the afternoon of Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at a location to be determined - most likely the Henry Strater Theatre, but possibly the Student Union Ballroom. The team and individuals will also be recognized during the basketball games that night.
Congratulations to all!!! More details to come.

Following this afternoon's women's soccer game vs. Regis (3:30 p.m. at Dirks Field), meet me down at the Ska Brewing World Headquarters in Bodo Park. Wear your commemorative '99/Ska jersey and receive $1 off pints today. The FLC cycling alumni will also be at Ska today hosting a reunion, with a Zia's taco bar, sales of throwback 1994 cycling jerseys, t-shirts and hoodies, live music and more. We need to plan some Ska gatherings after men's and women's Friday games this year. Wear your jersey on game days and they'll always give you $1 off.
The Alumni Association will host a reception at the Irish Embassy Pub from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009. Free appetizers for all alumni! If you purchase an Irish Embassy/FLC soccer loyalty card ($5 at the Embassy), 10% of all your purchases between now and the end of June 2010 will be donated back to the FLC men's and women's soccer teams. RSVP for this event by emailing alumni@fortlewis.edu.
