What a year!  Congrats to everyone involved on and off the pitch. 

Coaches, my hat is off and I am bowing down, one year & one National Championship, incredible.

Lads its been inspiring to read, listen and watch games this year.  You have been able to break records that seemed out of reach when they were first transcribed into FLC Mens Soccer history.  You have something extra special to remember from your time at the Fort.  Your part of a team that has achieved things no others have and your part of a family that believes there is more to come, well at least another star.  Enjoy the celebrations and try your best to take it all in. read more »

Been looking at flights from good old blighty.  Wouldn't be able to make semi but could be there for the final.  Do I risk it?  Someone help me out, convince me one way or another.  How many hooligans are on route?  If I do make it any one up for sharing a room with me?  Oh yeah I'd need a lift from the airport, any takers?

This is what it is about.  I have butterflies in anticipation of the game.  U girls have the heart to overcome whatever is thrown your way.  Go play, support each other and enjoy the game.  Shit I wish I was there to see it... good luck, all the best and have fun.

Oh yeah, Damo congrats bud, you deserve it.  You've worked your back side off to get there.  All those hours spent debating the game in coaches meetings paid off.  Quality mate. Chuffed for you.

No radio anymore?  I just have to pay to watch the lads?  $7 a game?  Any commentary?  Is it worth it, is the video feed good or slow and jurky?  Does the money go back to the programme?

I'm refering to the alumni game.  Can't seem to get any article on-line to tell me what it was like.  R the new boys looking good?  How r the old boys doing, recovering for another made one.  Thank you to those thoughtful enough to phone me and leave garbled messages on my phone.  Wish I could have been there.  One day I'll come back and see the festivities.  Hello to all and hope everyone one is enjoying whatever it is they are doing now.  Heard a rumor that Kie might be doing some assistant coaching with Oige, any truth in this?  See you around sometime, take care.

Just an up date on things with me.  I will NOT be applying for any AD jobs, if they are or do become available, very nice of a few of you to think of me, flattered actually, but thats not for me.  However the events of the last week have helped kick me into gear.  I have been trying to figure my life out for sometime now, make sense of a few things, some may say that will never happen but I think I'm gonna give the game another go.  It will be on this side of the pond but watch this space and I'll up date you guys with news if and when some fool decides to give me a chance. 

I know as I'm writing this you are all tucked up in bed sleeping peacefully, well some anyway.  However I am up on the other side of the world, (with a hang over) but still able to ponder the future of FLC soccer.  Both men and women alike have entertained us this year but where does this take us.  With Tim we have a vastly experienced coach who has just finish his first year at the helm, an RMAC tourney win and a berth at nationals.  Things look good but will he stay?  Then Damo on the womens side has done what everyone knew he could.  In the record books for all time as the coach who took the FLC womens team to their first national tourney berth.  The side is young and will show us more in the coming years but I ask the question again will he stay?  read more »
