Hello Fort Lewis Soccer Fans!
As many of you know, I sit on the Fort Lewis College Booster Club board and we are putting on "The Big Hawktion" fundraiser to support all of the athletic programs at FLC. This event is the largest fundraiser of the year to support Fort Lewis athletics. The event is both an online auction and a silent auction, with drinks and food hosted at Ska Brewing in Bodo park.

FLC Women
FLC MenSix seniors will pilot the men on a mission to prove their place among the best Fort Lewis squads ever, as they approach team and individual records. The Oige Kennedy regime officially began on July 17 when he signed his contract, two weeks after former coach Tim Hankinson resigned. "There was never any rush. These things take time. I kept my focus on preparing for what can be a very impressive season." Kennedy has high praise and expectations for the six seniors this season. "This group has plenty of skill and experience to take us back to the national finals." read more » |
To the Fort Lewis family,
The time of year has come when the soccer players at Fort Lewis hit the proverbial links (aka get some much deserved time off) and the rest of us are looking for other hobbies like waiting for the mountain resorts to open up! There was much to speak of this season. The Fort welcomed in new men’s head coach Tim Hankinson and new assistant coach Gary Hamel. Oige Kennedy returned from Ireland to join the staff for his second season. The women’s program was blessed with the return of former men’s standout player (and former women’s assistant) Damien Clark, who is now the head coach. He is joined by fellow Fort Lewis alumni Kate Stahlin. Kate (formerly Kate Kelly) was a standout performer for the women’s team during her college career.

- due to liability concerns, there will no longer be alumni games for any sports
- many other schools simply have participants sign waivers (honestly, who in their right mind sues their alma mater?!? Probably not the people coming back to support the teams during alumni weekend.)
- there will still be an Alumni Weekend, just no games for alumni - unless ...
- every participant provides proof of insurance coverage
- every participant has a physical, within a reasonable period of time
